Okay, So Post-Vacation

Let's see, there's quite a bit to cover.

On Wednesday the 17th, I went and worked for Maia and I couldn't get part of it done because the web site had expired or something--anyway, I only did half of the stuff she left me. She called me on Thursday all annoyed and telling me she couldn't pay me to slack off, despite the fact that I had no idea how to get back to the site. I explained it to her and she asked why I hadn't called her, to which I replied I thought it would be unprofessional to interrupt her when she was doing other work-related stuff. Anyway, the long and the short of it is that I got all the work done Thursday night and brought it back Friday to prove that I wasn't a slacker. That really bugged me, considering she had written up a work schedule for me and then forgot when I was supposed to show up and I would catch her off guard even though that was when she told me to come.

On Friday, I went to my grandma's house and she took me to Barnes and Noble, which I always love. We don't have one in my town. Upon getting home, we packed up the car for the beach and Rumor came over to show me her new iPod Touch. We weren't going to see each other for a week since I was going to North Carolina and she was going to Kentucky (hopefully Cip didn't get word of it so she could brag more about going to college in Kentucky), which sucked. But we still had pretty good times individually.

My vacation was really nice despite the fact that my mom had a panic attack driving about eight times and stopped in the middle of the freeway once, and despite the fact my one cousin was a spoiled brat who was mean to everyone (while putt putt golfing, she asked Nemo if she was even trying, then ended up getting last place anyway. Ha!). It sounds bad, but it really wasn't that much of the experience. We did a lot of fun stuff--putt-putt twice, went to see 'Night at the Museuem 2' since Blondie had met up with her friend and they invited me along, got ice cream at a place with a really hot guy working there, go-karting, and jewelry making. Not to mention the 1,088,975 surf/souvenir shops that we went into to buy Outer Banks tee shirts.

We got back Saturday, and I had to take a nap since we left at 3:30 a.m. I woke up from a knock on the door, which turned out to be Rumor --success! On Sunday, she invited me along with her to the zoo (I freakin' love being invited along places spontaneously) and we had a good time even though the lions were back in their pens before we got to see them. Then, yesterday, Fedling had me and Rumor and Darwin over for an expirimental grilling session--salmon with pinapple, sugar grilled steak, tofu in marinade and grilled bannana with homemade whipped cream. An excellent last week.
