Kissing Junior Year Goodbye
As of 1 p.m. today, I'm officially a senior. This, like the concept of 'last day of school'' is something I understand but don't exactly believe, and I have the feeling I'll get up at 7:10 tomorrow like usual.
I'm at Maia's house right now, but I'm done all my work. She was asleep when I arrived and wasn''t expecting me, even though she had printed me out a schedule instructing me to come over today. Sigghh. Sometimes I feel morew like the boss than the employee.
Today we got our yearbooks in advisement (no advisement for three months!!) and then were herded out to the football stadium to sign them. It drizzled a little bit but it was warm without being blistering, and I got everyone I wanted to sign to sign. Then Winchester and Rumor and I sat outside the gym to look through the books for an hour or so before getting to go home. The seniors got to leave early, lucky bastards, but it was still a half-day, so all was good.
I was also given a French journal to practice in over the summer by the French teacher who wears her pants too high but is nice anyway. She still calls me by my French name, which in ninth grade was Celeste. I dropped it for the most part in tenth grade but she still calls me that sometimes.
Let me see about my week now.
Tomorrow I'm doing a whole lot of nothing, which is fine with me. Friday I'm going to my brother's last baseball game since I haven't been to one all season, and Saturday is the day of my SATS and then Rumor's dance recital in the evening. She's shown me a lot of it, so that'll be fun.
Now that I'm not in Word Processing sitting next to her, I'm going to explain the whole Winchester situation. As I've mentioned, she has spent a lot of the past few months being really depressed because Havok doesn't notice her and Havok is her true love and everything. She would get really quiet and angsty and Rumor and I would stay the hell away from her because it wasn't fun to be around a person like that. The day before the AP tests, she exploded in the notebook, saying that Rumor and I were mean and insensitive and ignored her all the time while she was suffering. I was offended, not to mention Rumor, and I talked to Greaser about it for awhile because he's the man for this sort of thing.
He talked to Winchester later and told her that I thought she hated me and she panicked, probably because she hadn't meant for us to think that. She explained to him she didn't hate us and life basically went on as usual.
About a week ago, she went on another but a much more controlled rant, in which she wrote in giant letters that she did NOT HATE ME but just needed me to understand. I was in a bit of a fix, considering Havok was a cheater and a jerk who told me my Christmas present was going to be a 'swift kick to the face' and broke Rumor's heart. However, I wrote back that I would listen to her and offer her the best advice I could, explained to her that there were many non-jerks out there, and said that I would be there, I just needed her to tell me when she wanted space and when she didn't since I couldn't read her mind.
This was in the notebook, and we weren't supposed to bring stuff with us today, so I didn't get to see her written reply. But she was in a fairly good mood and didn't seem upset at me or Rumor, so I'm going to assume the best.
So that's my tale of drama and woe and all.

One Day Left and Counting
An assortment of odd tidbits for you to munch on:
-According to Rumor, Three has saved someone from O.D.-ing before. And according to him, his girlfrind pointed my house out to him two nights ago as they walked past. She said, "That's her room," and now Three knows where my room is. The weirdness of all this is amazing.
-Our assignment for Word Processing today is to 'push our chairs in when we leave and try to not get too cold in the room'. Yesss.
-All we did in World History is eat M&Ms and watch 'Thirteen Days', which really bored me since I already know how the whole deal in Cuba worked out, considering Florida still exists and is not bombed to smithereens. So I played Soliatire on my iPod until I got annoyed from losing every time and tossed it in my purse and Flame and my learning partner were amused.
-This is a free mod, and I'm going to play on the internet now. Tomorrow is the last day of school, and Tohru has already assured me she'll cry, so at least that won't be a surprise. She seems to think she won't be able to make new friends at college and always says she wants to be held back to stay with her underclassmen friends. Um?

Hope Diamond and Various Types of Luck
On Friday, Rumor and Greaser and I got on the bus to D.C. and decided we would be a group for the day, something infinitely preferable to spending the day with Cip or something. We first went to the aquarium, which was in the basement of the Chamber of Commerce of all things, and then we trekked to CVS to get Rumor some new flip-flops since her flats were hurting her feet. Shoes purchased, we continued back into the museum district to see the Smithsonian natural history museum.
Natural history museums are my absolute favorites. I went to the one in New York two Novembers ago and it was one of my favorite places in the world. The Smithsonian didn't disappoint me. We went through the mammals hall, the ocean life hall and the dinosaur hall, stopping briefly to catch a glimpse of the Hope Diamond, which I'd always wanted to see. All of this in the time before we left for dinner.
I guess the luck of the Hope Diamond rubbed off on us once we left the Smithsonian or something, but the check at the Hard Rock was a complete disaster. The waiter wouldn't let our group of three pay its own check, instead forcing the whole table of ten to pay one bill. Then we were eighty dollars short! Some of us, like Rumor and Greaser and I, had to tap into the rest of our money (all mine was eaten up by the incident, thanks a lot) to help cover it. Then Cip and Tohru were crying because they were afraid they would miss the show. The drama teacher just bitched at us even though we didn't ask her for help. By the time it was all over and the bill paid, I was all growly and my feet ached from all that walking in flip-flops.
But our luck turned once more at Rent. First of all, we were fifteen minutes early, so those two had nothing to frickin' cry about, and we had outstanding orchestra seats. The show itself was awesome too. Two of the cast members were in the movie and everything, and we all cried at the parts where people died (well, not Greaser, but the girls) and it was really good.
Then on the ride home, our group of three got everyone on the bus to sing bad hair metal songs at the top of their lungs until the bitches in the back who weren't even in drama club yelled at us to shut up. What losers. However, they don't lessen the awesometasticness that was that field trip and of the fish and dinosaurs we made friends with.
Yesterday was Blondie's confirmation ceremony and Rumor came along with us. Blondie's friends were nice and didn't make fun of how bad I was at Guitar Hero. Then Rumor and I played Would You Rather the whole ride home, which was very entertaining.
It's been a quiet Sunday. Nothing more to report.

I was rushing a little bit last time, but I have a lot more time now, so I'll try to be more leisurely in writing all the weird things in my life.
Turns out the shoplifting girl wasn't actually shoplifting, she had just mistakenly walked out with the stuff. I believe this, since she's a bit of a dim bulb. But I felt kind of bad for her because people are exaggerating hugely and saying she stole $200 worth of shirts or something, which is obviously a lie.
I didn't mention the package I got on Monday. It was from Germany, Elliott Smith's New Moon cd, just like LAHrissa promised. I was so happy, I immediately sent her a Facebook message thanking her and a request for her address so I can send her a cd in return.
I haven't been to math class really at all this week because there was no school Monday and the field trip Tuesday, and then yesterday there was this spontaneous meeting for the junior class to discuss senior pictures. They showed a bunch of the '09 class's pictures and we saw Demosky and Captain Emo and all sorts of people. Then tomorrow I won't have math because I'll be back in the good old District. Watch something come up to prevent me from having it today, too.
The most exciting thing that happened at lunch today was a shortage of ranch dressing, which should tell you something.
Rumor's not here! I hope she's not sick, because of the field trip. Maybe it's just a personal day or something. Currently listening to: New MoonBy Elliott Smith

Much has happened in the last four days, I'll try to get it all in.
Prom was okay. I danced with Squish and a bunch of other girls, including Lennon's girlfriend, who danced with me more than she did with him. There was also a really, really hot Jersey boy, and you know how it is with Jersey boys. I hope Yoda had an alright time because he is supremely socially awkward and didn't do much.
On Sunday, Rumor was at Ashby's so I spent my time writing lyrics like a good little Ryan Ross child, procrastinating on my English project (like a not so good child) and watching Fred videos. Monday involved much of the same. Then came Tuesday, which I had been very much looking forward to.
"Sure you don't want a jacket?" my mom asked me in the car as she drove me to school at 6:45 a.m.
"Yep, I'll be all right." I had never spoken stupider words. The moment my mom left, a freezing cold breeze (what?) and freezing cold rain (WHAT?) descended on the crowd of high schoolers. We ran onto that bus like it was the last shelter on earth.
The bus ride that should have taken two hours, maximum, dragged on to almost four because of Memorial Day traffic and such. But we were not daunted! We hopped off the bus, grateful to have survived the boredom, and while Mr. S. got us the tickets, Havok drank an entire 2-liter bottle of Mountain Dew. He does stuff like that.
The museum was really interesting. I'm not going to go on a dramatic speech like Cip would, but it was very educational and well-put together. What happened afterwards, though, is what made the trip complete. Namely, a dumb prep from our school got caught shoplifting nail polish from Urban Outfittetrs and it made for some sizzly gossip.
Can't wait to go back in two days. I'll have to get some Qwonton soup from the overpriced food kiosk. And D.C. food is REALLY OVERPRICED. Well, it's not just food. They sell baby deodoranrs and petroleum jelly bottles for more than what the regular sized ones cost at home. But it kind of makes up for that with all the neat musuems that are free.
Today was Mr. S's going away party. Cupcakes were served.

So we went outside for about half a second for Word Processing like all the kids in the class had been begging to do. It was, in the words of Fedling's brother, hotter than Satan's anus and shade took forever to walk to. Luckily, Winchester and Rumor and I were amused by the antics of Darwin, who was also outside collecting tufts of grass for art class. He tried to climb a tree. It didn't work.
Last night I babysat last-minute for my neighbor's church and it was fairly uneventful, besides the fact that the boy insisted on being called Batman. Then I got home and fixed myself cinnamon toast and messed around on Facebook for awhile.
This morning, I had to come in early to finish my research project, only then the deadline was changed to Tuesday, which means Wednesday for me because I'll be at the Holocaust museum all day. I guess I'll hang out with Kelpie or someone. I really don't know who to spend the day with.
More updates as events warrant.

Tom Kaulitz Extravaganza!
I have an Italian Ice and I'm good to go.
It has come to my attention that my references to Tom Kaulitz have a direct correlation with how many people read this blog. I appreciate all the comments I got all that time ago (I think; they're all in Spanish, so for all I know they could say "BOO, SUCKY BLOG!" Still, that's the kind of criticism I prefer, the kind I can't translate) for my Tom blog.
Last night, we did catch the movie but Ashby ended up coming with us. We got a large popcorn and headed into the theater, which was completely empty except for us. I walked right into Rumor in the dark, and the large popcorn virtually emptied onto the floor.
All the butteriness was gone, so I took the popcorn box back out to the lobby and told the cashier what happened. I then asked if I could have butter on what was left. I guess I looked pretty sad because the lady said, "Oh, honey, you can have a new one." And she gave me a new large popcorn! Victory tastes like movie butter.
I started writing songs again last night, something I had been meaning to do all winter and never getting around to. Something tells me the summer will be a good one on the lyrical front, and if I keep practicing bass, I'll make an okay one-girl band.
May the love of Tom shine upon all my beloved Spanish-speaking friends.

I can't wait for math class to be over with. Mr. D. can't hold control of the class, and I know that must be linked to some incident involving him hitting or shaking a kid and then being rehabilitated or something, maybe. At any rate, he doesn't stand up for himself, and the classroom is a cesspool of noise. Luckily Greaser and Werewolf make me laugh and look forward to it. I've been out of math reading materail for awhile, but the Lang teacher lent me "Light in August" today so I can finish it.
Today Rumor and I are going to the movies to see 'Planet Earth', the Disney thing. We were supposed to see it at five but Ashby decided to invite herself over, so now I'm not sure when we go. Oh well, the movie will be good, at least. I love seeing movies in the theaters. It's not quite the same at home. I usually put in a movie when I'm doing something else, like cleaning my room or writing a paper, to use as background noise. I don't really sit down and watch a movie in my room unless someone else is over or I'm at their house.
Last night, Rumor came over and we investigated some new hot guys, the ones in Thriving Ivory. I fancy Drew myself (don't I sound British?) and Rumor likes Scott, the guitarist and pianist, respectively. Maybe we catch catch them over the summer. In concert, I mean. Or do I?

On Friday, Sparrow got in a car accident that resulted in him getting forty stitches in his face. Rumor is worried, and hopefully he'll be all right. Maybe the cheesecake she's planning on making him will help.
Cip is grinding on my nerves. She's always on the Asperger's kid for being socially inept but seems to see it as fine to butt into my conversations all the time. She corrects everyone and has to steer the conversation to the subject of herself constantly, making sure her language and tone are as dramatic as possible. Well, she's leaving for Kentucky this summer. I know this because she has told the Lang class numerous times about the theater/arts college she's been accepted to.
As for me, my college sights are set on Towson University in Baltimore, though I wouldn't object to University of Maryland Baltimore County.
I'm glad the tech prom and my school's prom are on different days. Dances are fun and all, but on our school's prom day, Rumor and Winchester are going to see "Up" and I'll see if I can arrange some delicious snacks and such to sneak into the theater like some girls I went to go see Pirates of the Caribbean 2 with. They snuck in Snapple. It was good.
I have discovered that Mr. S. is a traitor who will be leaving for army reserve training five days before school lets out! He's been to Iraq before, he's been trained! Why does he need training? Can't they at least hold off until his real job ends? The sub we're getting is this guy who is usually abnormally happy except for this one day he went on a rant about who much he hated teaching and was trapped in teaching and it was a little unnerving.
The field trips are almost here, thank you God.

Having infinite time over a weekend is probably the worst thing for me when it comes to getting anything done. I need a deadline or something. Yesterday I could have been doing my World History packet, but instead I chose to watch a documentary about the neo-Nazi pop duo Prussian Blue, and when that was over, I watched one about the Jonestown mass suicide. Hey, it's historical!
Then I did my packet while doing research in English class. I'm doing it on Prussian Blue, to argue about how hate groups shouldn't get so much media attention because that's exactly what they want. They have freedom of speech, but when the media makes a big deal out of it, they can find a way to phrase things to make people think hate is okay.
Saturday was Rumor's photo shoot, where Ashby and Fedling and Darwin and Three and I were shot, and then hung out and ate ice cream and did gymnastic stretches. Then I babysat, and Rumor came over. We talked further photoshoots, specifically Greek mythology, and I'm quite looking forward to that.
Then yesterday Rumor and I walked around the mall and I was supposed to work but Maia was being Maia so I didn't. Apparently she was sick.
Time to waste more time.
