Entry: I Think Bloom's Day Was Yesterday Jun 17, 2009

What do I know, I'm not Irish.

Monday was pretty boring, since Rumor was still in North Carolina, so we just texted a lot. Yesterday was much better. She came over and we went out to the Asian buffet to feast on sushi and fried rice and those little sesame dumpling things that I still can't place, and then we watched the first ten minutes of Quarantine before switching to Girl With a Pearl Earring. I think we'll watch the rest tomorrow, since I'll be over at her house as a last hurrah before I go to the Outer Banks and she leaves on her church trip.

I'll have to wear my old-lady-yet-really-comfy tennis shoes on the walk there because this morning I was idiotic enough to walk my brother to school in my Bjorndaal sandals ("It's only a mile! What the heck!") and back, giving myself some really painful blisters. At pickup I was much smarter and went to the bother to find those tennis shoes and the walk was actually nice. If you ignored the pouring rain and violent drop in temperature.

It's safe to say the most exciting thing that happened to me all day was that I bought this giant glass bottle of cranberry juice and I'm only halfway through. At least I have my new story to keep my mind busy. I watched clips of 'Lost tapes' or 'Lost files' or whatever that  show on Animal Planet is called, and it gave me a few ideas. I also watched the trailer for 'Let the Right One In', which was posted on Ryan Ross's blog, and now I really want to see that. I doubt our dinky Blockbuster will have it in stock, but you never know.

I think I'll work on that now. The beach awaits in merely two days.
