I hadn't seen Sej in a month and it was fun talking to her and seeing her since I don't get to nearly as often these days. We also spotted one of Rumor's old crushes, back from the Much Ado days...what did I call him in the blog? J. Wow, I was creative. He had gotten a massive haircut but was otherwise his same old J self. Flame was there too--he drummed for the other band playing. Nice seeing old acquaintances! After the show, I went straight to Lennon's pool party. It was really odd being back at his grandpa's pool, but even with Yoda there and Lennon's new girlfriend being absent--she was in New Jersey (someone asked why, and Lennon said 'I have no clue'. Specific, huh?), there really wasn't any awkwardness. It was mostly guys and therefore guy humor, rowdy and loud and sexual, and it was a million times better than having to walk on eggshells in the drama club crowd since everyone gets offended by everyone. Well, it used to be that way, but most of those dicks/dickettes have graduated. I'm getting off-track. The point was, it was really fun, even when this big bat swooped down over the pool like it was going to eat some face. Even the guys screamed. Of course, Squish had to seek me out and complain some more. The only reason she hasn't still been calling me to spill her woes is that she doesn't have our phone number--it got changed back with the removal of the dial-up. I told her I'd give her my new one and never did. Anyway, she's all annoyed with her new boyfriend, who can't be anywhere near as bad as the last one. The new one seemed okay to me, maybe a little immature, but nothing to be all mopey over. Speaking of mopey, I haven't seen Winchester all summer, and I don't know if she's over Havok or what. I guess I'll find out the day after tomorrow, when senior year officially starts. |
